Pressure Washing in Leicester
Driveways and patios collect algae, moss and ground-in dirt, and a green film makes paving slippery as well as tired-looking. Safe'N'Clean pressure wash hard surfaces at homes across Leicester and Leicestershire.
We use a rotary surface cleaner on suitable paving for an even finish, and adjust the approach where a surface needs more care.

Driveways, patios and paths
Block paving, concrete, flagstones and pathways all respond well to washing when they are in sound condition. We work in sections so the finish is consistent rather than striped.
Not every surface suits high pressure
High pressure is not right for everything. Older or soft stone, some rendered walls, decking, painted surfaces and tired tarmac can be damaged by too much force, and loose or crumbling jointing will wash out.
We look at the surface first and tell you what is realistic. Where high pressure is not appropriate we will say so, and discuss a gentler soft washing approach instead.
What affects your quote
- The size of the area to be cleaned
- The surface type and how it has worn
- How heavy the moss, algae or staining is
- Access for equipment, and whether there is a water supply nearby
- Whether anything needs protecting or moving first
After the clean
Ask us about re-sanding joints, sealing or any aftercare treatment when you enquire and we will confirm what we can offer for your surface. We would rather tell you up front than leave you expecting something we have not agreed.

Questions
Your pressure washing questions, answered
Block paving, concrete, flagstones and most paths usually respond well when they're in sound condition. Softer or older stone, tired tarmac, decking and loose jointing need more care, and high pressure isn't right for all of them. We look at the surface first and tell you what's realistic.
Too much pressure on the wrong surface can. Soft stone can mark, and crumbling joints can wash out. That's why we assess the surface first and adjust the approach, and where high pressure isn't appropriate we'll say so — sometimes a gentler soft washing approach is the better option.
Moss, algae and surface dirt usually lift well. Weeds growing in joints can be washed out, but roots may remain and regrow. Oil and rust stains are different: they soak into the surface and often fade rather than disappear. We'll be upfront about what's likely before we start.
It depends on the surface, the weather and how much shade the area gets. On a dry, breezy day, paving can look dry within a few hours; in cool or damp weather it can take much longer. Joints and porous stone usually dry last.
There's no standard price, because driveways vary so much. The size of the area, surface type, how heavy the moss or staining is and access for equipment all affect the quote. Send a couple of photos and rough measurements with a quote request and we'll price it.
